Larry J Cooper

Larry Junior Cooper was born on February 4, 1945 in Amelia, OH, to Bernadine Makin and Cecil Cooper. A long time resident of Rising Sun, IN, Larry died on November 28, 2014 at his home, his beloved family at his bedside. He was the devoted husband of Donna M. Cooper and special step-son of Keith Dow, loving father of Cynthia B. (Michael) Whalen, Laura (Roger) Satterfield and Shane (Michelle) Cooper, proud grandfather of Amanda Molnar, Danielle Turner, Dylan and Tiffany Whalen, Nathan Bauer, Ethan and Samantha Cooper, and treasured great grandfather of Lucas Tanner. Larry will also be deeply missed by sisters; Judy (Tim) Dabney, Gail (the late Floyd) Jeter, Esther (Hank) Dean and Kim (Brian) Clark, aunts; Fran Van Doren and Phyllis Trost and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother; Florence Makin, and sisters; Sharon Morgan and Jane Smith. Larry retired from Southwest Regional Transit Authority (Metro), where he was a driver, sub-clerk and sub-dispatcher. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as a leader and held district positions. He also served on the Ohio County Soil and Water Board, where he assisted with the 4-H program and school programs, and was a proud member of the Aberdeen United Methodist Church, and proudly served his country in the Army from 1962 until 1965. A memorial service to Honor Larry�s life will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, Milford, OH.
