In the tranquil embrace of time, on the 15th of October, 2025, Lawanda B. Hart, born Quesnell, gracefully departed this world at her home in Milford, Ohio. She was a tapestry woven with the threads of love and resilience, having blossomed into life on the 19th of July, 1932, in the cherished town of Rome, Kentucky.
Lawanda was a nurturing mother to her children—Ralph W. Farmer and his spouse Becky, Gary R. Farmer, Mary Pat Eschenbrener along with her spouse Gary, and her sons Michael Hart along with his spouse Sandy, Robert Hart along with his spouse Amy, and Kenneth Hart along with spouse Angela. The legacy of her spirit will persist through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her brother, Everett Quesnell, who will carry forth her warmth and love.
The joy of her days was often reflected in her favorite color, purple—a hue that resonated alongside the laughter and memories she created with family. Lawanda's strength and kindness were matched only by her ability to make those around her feel cherished. Her presence lingered like the softest melody, calming and comforting.
She rejoins her beloved family who have crossed the threshold before her. Lawanda is now reunited with her parents, Walter Terry and Ethel Lillian Quesnell, her first husband Clyde Farmer, and her second husband Ken Hart, alongside her sisters Ellen Worley, Nadine Hartman, and brothers James Quesnell and John Quesnell. Together, they form a constellation of love that surrounds her, shining brightly in the hearts of those who remain.
Throughout her life, Lawanda’s journey was marked by grace and fortitude, leaving an indelible imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we gather to honor her memory, we do so with a heart full of memories and gratitude for the time we shared.
Visitation will be held at the Clough Pike Baptist Church in Cincinnati on the 23rd of October, 2025, from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service commencing at 1:00 PM. Within the sanctuary of that sacred space, may her spirit be celebrated in joyous remembrance, as we bid farewell to a remarkable woman who brightened the world around her. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park in blue Ash, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers consider making a memorial contribution in Lawanda's memory to the Clough Pike Baptist Church.
Pastor James Kerr will be officiating.
