Lawrence Halcomb

Lawrence Halcomb (fromerly of Mt. Orab, Ohio) of Batavia, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2021 in Amelia, Ohio at the age of 88.  He was born in Hammons, Kentucky to the late Steve and Ritter (nee Campbell) Halcomb on December 17, 1932.

Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (nee Riddle) Halcomb; his loving step children Lee Franz of Batavia, Ohio, Andy (Nina) Metz of Batavia, Ohio, Bruce (Rita) Metz of Batavia, Ohio, and Vince (Kim) Metz of Aubrey, Texas; his adored grandchildren Don, April, Danielle, and Ashley; his 5 cherished great grandchildren; and his caring sister Wanda (Charles) Sexton of Cornettsville, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents Lawrence was preceded in death by his siblings Creed Halcomb, Reeda Cornett, Ada Halcomb, Truman Halcomb, Reva Huff, Rulith Halcomb, and Beatrice Ison; and grandson Tony.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Batavia Baptist Temple located at 770 S Riverside Dr, Batavia, OH 45103.  Family and friends will be received beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Mt. Orab Cemetery.  Pastor Phil Taylor officiating.
