Lester V. Dewees

Lester V. DeWees, a.k.a., Van the Tree Man, age 86, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. He was the cherished dad of Ken (Pat), Danny (Tamela) Cathy (Ed), Darrell, Cynthia, Gary (Lisa), Michael, Terry, and Janine, proud papaw of many grandchildren. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Hudy and Myrtle DeWees, his wives, Altha M. (nee' Nash) DeWees and Linda R. (nee' Hipps) DeWees, 3 children, Gary, Cindy, and Greg, and six brothers and 6 sisters. He worked for Asplundh Tree Co. for 28 years and worked as a Tree Surgeon for more than 60 years. A Graveside Service will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 686 Mt. Moriah Dr., Withamsville, Ohio, 45245.
