Lillian Sue Miles

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lillian Miles ~ beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. We were blessed to have her in this world for 88 years, with her joyful countenance reaching out to the best in us all. Born a coal miner’s daughter, she grew up in Harlan and Sunshine, Kentucky, moving to Cincinnati for high school ~ the first in her family to achieve the milestone of graduation. She met her future husband, Walter Taylor Miles in 1961, and together they shared 63 years of family, friends, travel, and their love for the Lord. She was the nucleus at the center of our lives, bringing laughter and light to every special occasion, and more importantly to everyday life. Her creativity brought delight to so many. Giving and kind, she was a beautiful force of nature. She is survived by her loving husband Walter Miles, her daughter Deborah Tarrant (Rich), her son James Miles (Lorna), grandchildren Victoria Messner (Natalia), Kyle Messner (Mandy), Amanda Miles, and her great-grandson Miles Anthony Messner. She will be deeply missed, but we know she’s happy to go home to that Mansion Over the Hilltop.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Milford, 1367 Woodville Pike, Milford, Ohio on November 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Epilepsy Foundation Ohio.
