Liveo C. Scovanner Jr. beloved father passed away on May 5th, 2016 after a long and generous life. He was born in 1922, in Cincinnati, the second twin and third child of Liveo and Louise. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Ruth and brothers, Clem and Daniel. He is survived by his three children, Kathy, Tony (Anna) and Tom (Sharon), 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, other relatives and close friends. An athletic youth blessed with a beautiful tenor voice, his acceptance in UC College Conservatory of Music was cut short by the family business requirements during the Great Depression and service in WWII; he served in the European Theater as a decorated Combat Medic. He returned and was a highly successful business man, in the truck transportation industry. An active supporter of Boy Scouts, he was a long- time Assistant Scoutmaster and Committee Member for Indian Hill Troop 502. He also served many years as an auxiliary Indian Hill Ranger. He spearheaded the effort to restore and preserve the Old Chapel at the Armstrong United Methodist Church. In his later life he continued to serve others by delivering Meals on Wheels, earning recognition and awards for his devoted service. A memorial service is scheduled on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, Old Chapel. Memorial contributions in his memory are requested to benefit the Old Chapel Foundation, Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, 5125 Drake Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45243.
