Lloyd 'Slim' W. Helson

Helson, Lloyd �Slim� Beloved husband of the late Ruth C. Helson. Step-Father of Gary (Brenda) Creeden and Tony (Cheryl) Michaels. Grandfather to Cheryl (Kent) McClure, Heather (Bradley) Williams, Anthony Creeden and Joshua Volz. Great-Grandfather of 12. Brother of Neil (the late Alice) Helson; Uncle of Sherry Enzweiler and Jay Helson. Slim was one of the first members of the Cincinnati Corvette Club, was a Sports Car Club of America race car driver, was a member of the Tri-State Helicopter Club and owner of Sports Car Repair in Milford. Slim was also an original square dance caller on the television show Midwestern Hayride, which aired on WLW-T back in the 1950's. Slim passed away on October 13, 2014 at the age of 90. Visitation will be at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home in Milford on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the funeral service on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:00 am followed by the burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
