Lou Ellen Schaefer

Lou Ellen Schaefer, born on February 13, 1930, in Whitley County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in Williamsburg, Ohio. She was a vibrant soul whose creativity and passion for the arts resonated deeply with those around her. Throughout her life, Lou Ellen found immense joy in painting and drawing, nurturing her artistic talents with great dedication.

Lou Ellen was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her cherished children: Vera (Barry) Davis, Linda Felix, and John (Donna) Schaefer. In addition to her children, Lou Ellen was immensely proud of her family, which includes 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy also lives on through numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her devoted mother, Ethel Rose, and her beloved daughters, Verda Kuhns and Brenda Roberts.

Lou Ellen will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky on December 7, 2025.

Lou Ellen's contributions to her family and friends were immeasurable, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. We celebrate her life and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of many.
