Maggie (Margaret) Ross, nee Brugman. Clermont County, Ohio-Maggie Ross was born in Garner, Iowa December 4, 1930 and passed away peacefully, on February 25, 2022 at age 91. Maggie is resting now with her parents, nine brothers, and her grandson Joshua Ross who left this earth way too soon (2013). Maggie is survived by her five children Kevin P. Ross (Jackie Ritter), Martha S. Ross Hill, Kelle E. Ross Price, Peggy A. Ross Johnson and Patrick R. Ross Cool (Jeffrey G. Cool Jr.) who joined her at rest March 1, 2022. Maggie is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Maggie came to Cincinnati in the early 1950’s and started her family and then her career. She worked many jobs over the years one of which was her time at the Witt Company, Cincinnati (now DBA The Amour Group). Maggie began her employment for the City of Cincinnati in the Purchasing Department and from there transferred to the City of Cincinnati’s Fire Department. She became the first female fire dispatcher in the City of Cincinnati and later helped implement the City’s 911 system which was the model for the national 911 system. After her retirement from the City of Cincinnati in the early 1990’s and a brief break from employment Maggie was diagnosed with breast cancer and was cancer free since that time after she received treatment. She then began working for Anderson Township, Park District and officially retired in 2007. Maggie did not meet too many strangers. She touched many lives and had many friends during her lifetime. She loved to travel, read, listen to music, and solve difficult crossword puzzles. Maggie loved her children and her many grandchildren. Maggie always offered a gracious smile, a kind word, and a helping hand.
