Maria Lirtzman

LIRTZMAN, Maria, formerly of Symmes Township, beloved wife for 33 years of Alan Lirtzman, loving mother of Alexandra Lirtzman, Ethan Lirtzman (Bonnie Wagner), Abigail Ono (Tomoyuki) and Efrem Lirtzman. Affectionate grandmother of Emily and Alexander Lirtzman. Maria passed away November 9, 2006 at the age of 57 following an 11-year battle with cancer. A battle that she never shied away from and that she never let get her down. She was a strong minded, caring and enthusiastic person. A devoted maternity nurse with passion and spirit, she was described by many as a person with incredible warmth and a fierce love for her family. She was instrumental in bringing about the Spanish Language Clinic at Bethesda North Hospital and was awarded the Regional Spirit of Women Award in the Caregiver category. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorial contributions to the March of Dimes or the Ambulatory Treatment Center at Bethesda North Hospital. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
