Marietta “Mary” Alexander

Alexander, Mary, 80, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020. Born to Tom and Georgia Hacker on December 16, 1939 in Teges, Kentucky, Mary worked with her husband, Elisha, for many years in the heavy equipment excavating industry. In her earlier years she had worked at the Mushroom Plant, Mulford Greenhouse as well as Cedar Valley Plastics. She enjoyed being outdoors to go fishing, camping, working in the garden and love tending to her flowers. However, Mary’s truest and biggest passion was that of her Tennessee Walking Horses. She spent most her life training and grooming them. She attended many horse shows to show off her hard work, great pride and devotion she put into them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elisha P Alexander; her mother, Georgia Hacker; her father, Tom Hacker; her three brothers, Gerald, Earl and Bobby Hacker; and her sister, Lucy Pursley.

She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Alexander of Blanchester, Ohio; her son, Randy (Lisa) Alexander of Blanchester, Ohio; a grandson, David “DJ” (April) Sizemore of Glendale, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Ashley (Curtis) Alexander of Blanchester, Ohio; a sister, Louise (Jimmy) Amburgy of South Lebanon, Ohio; her brothers, Seldon (Dora) Hacker of Morrow, Ohio, Thomas Hacker of South Lebanon, Ohio, Eddie Hacker of Richmond, Kentucky and Millard (Margaret) Hacker of Mount Vernon, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 12:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2020 at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 West Main Street, Blanchester, Ohio, where friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment Deerfield Cemetery-Union Township, South Lebanon, Ohio.
