Marlin Morris, a devoted husband, loving father, and a man with a big heart, passed away on May 18, 2026, in Sardinia, Ohio. Born on June 7, 1955, in Georgetown, Ohio, Marlin lived a life rich with passion and commitment. He was a retired arborist, someone who cared deeply for the natural world, reflecting his love for being outside.
Marlin found joy in many pursuits. He enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows, tractor pulls, and antique machinery events. His enthusiasm for these hobbies brought him much happiness and connected him with friends who shared his interests. Apart from his mechanical passions, Marlin loved to plant large gardens, nurturing the earth with patience and care. His love for life extended to his pets, whom he treated like family, showing the tenderness of his spirit.
He shared fifty-two years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda Morris, a union built on love and mutual support. Together, they raised a wonderful family who carried forward Marlin’s legacy of kindness and generosity.
Marlin is survived by his daughters: Rebecca J. Bellamy with her husband William, Sheila A. Henize with her husband Douglas, Glenda M. Morris with her husband Michael Ritchey, and Aimee S. Morris with her husband Mike Winter. His son, Eric E. Morris with his wife Tonya, and Sara M. Osborne with her husband Tyler also remember him dearly. Marlin's grandchildren—Brett Bellamy, Brianna Bellamy, Brandin Henize, Nicholas Brown, Madison Winter, Jake Winter, and Preston Winter—along with great-grandchildren Onyx and Bowen, all carry a piece of his warmth and kindness.
He is also survived by his brother, Marvin Morris, and Marvin’s wife Brenda, who share in the sorrow of his passing.
Although Marlin has left us, the memories of his gentle soul, his laughter, and the love he spread will live on with his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, honoring the man who touched so many hearts.
Though Marlin Morris is no longer with us, his spirit continues to bloom in every garden he planted, every car show he cherished, and in the hearts of all who loved him.
