Martha Jean Snodgrass

Martha Jean (Haney) Snodgrass, age 95, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 in Huntsville, Alabama. Martha Jean was born on July 14, 1920 � Bastille Day, in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents John and Ida Haney. Martha is survived by her son, David Snodgrass of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Pauline Ramsey and her husband, Donald Ramsey of Huntsville, Alabama and son, Stanley Snodgrass and his wife Beth Snodgrass of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and best friend, John Paul Snodgrass; three sons, Michael Paul Snodgrass, Mathew Harry Snodgrass and Stephen Clyde Snodgrass, and grandson, Michael Paul Snodgrass II. Martha was a ray of light who brought happiness to all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was ever joyful, and thankful for every small blessing. Her love of life was contagious and it was not possible to leave her presence without a smile. When you were with Martha you knew love and happiness. She was absotively and posolutely beautiful. One cannot think of Martha and not at the same time think of dance. She did not hear a song, beat or melody that she could not dance along with and implore you to join in with her. Music moved her, grounded her and at the end of her life brought her a sense of peace. A Gathering is scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory of Milford, Ohio. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Martha�s life, you�ll be so glad you came to see her. Memorial Donations, in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Cincinnati Children�s Hospital, in memory of Martha Snodgrass.
