Marvin Dean Atkin

Marvin Dean Atkin of Hamersville, OH went to be with the lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Marvin age 77 born December 29, 1939 to the late Donald Marvin and Dorothy Regina Atkins. He was a beloved husband to Janice nee` Ellenberger Atkin. Loving father to David (Brenda) Atkin of Livonia, MI; Debbie (Rampsey) Nicholson of Confluence, PA; Rick (Dawn) Scott of Morrow, OH; Tim (Susan) Scott of Aurora, IL; Lisa (Joey) Sizemore of Pacolet, SC; and Becki Kurzner of Cincinnati, OH. Adoring grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grand children. Cherished sibling to Elanie Rutledge of Astoria, OR; Larry (Barbara) Atkin of Covington, VA; and Donald Atkin of Joplin, MO. Marvin was a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. He was employed at Jewish Hospital for 19 years as Assistant head nurse then retired from Clermont Mercy. Marvin Served in the US Navy during the Vitamin War era. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church located at 11693 St Rt 774, Bethel, OH 45106. Family and friends may visit beginning at 12:00 pm.
