WHALEN, Marvin T. of Colerain Township, Ohio. Beloved husband of 53 years of Sue Jolly Whalen; loving father of Suzanne (Jeff) Choate of West Chester, Ohio, Scott (Denese) Whalen of Springfield Township, Ohio and Clay (Lisa) Whalen of North College Hill, Ohio; affectionate grandfather of Steven, Meghan, Courtney, David, Kyle, Christopher, Mikayla and Rachel; cherished great-grandfather of Nathaniel; also survived by a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, George Thomas and Lena Mae (née McClanahan) Whalen; a brother, Larry Whalen and a sister, Ann Haley. Died January 30, 2011 at the age of 81. Mr. Whalen was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Healthy. Friends received 10:30 AM - 12 Noon Friday, February 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church 1210 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 where service will be held at Noon. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Kentucky. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati. Megie Funeral Home caring for the family.
