Mary Wells Gandenberger

Mary Wells Gandenberger passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born in Bright, Indiana to John and Ruth (Morgan) Wells on September 7, 1929. She was reunited with Gilbert “Gil”, her late husband of 72 years. He adored her, and she missed him desperately every day since he went to the “other side of the mountain” last September. She is survived by her loving children, Ruth (Dave) Doyle of West Chester, Ohio; Gilbert (Bonnie) Gandenberger of Lincoln, Illinois; Mary (Bill Libecap) Schock, of West Chester, Ohio; and Lynne (Anthony) Ruehl-Buescher of Monroe, Ohio; her 11 cherished grandchildren, and 20 adored great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by brothers, Wayne and Bill, and sister, Sue Shuman, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families, plus many cherished friends. In addition to her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ralph, Don, and Ivan, and sister, Jane Winkley. Mary used her beautiful voice to impart lovingly kind, but clearly firm lessons to her children, and raised it in song as a member of the May Festival Chorus, multiple church choirs, and many church services throughout her life. Listening to music was a calming pastime for her. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Spring Hill Church of Christ located at 2021 Brell Drive, Middletown, Ohio 45042. Gilbert L.
