Mary Leonard

Mary F. Leonard of Mt. Orab, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio she was 88 years old. Mary was born to the late Everett and Lydia (nee Watson) Anderson in Liberty, Kentucky on August 8, 1933. Mary is survived by her loving children Carl R. (Delia) Leonard of Killeen, Texas, Treasa D. (Doug) Ritchey of Orlando, Florida, Lisa G. (Michael) Marriott of Seminole, Florida, Ty (Kimberly) Leonard of Anderson Township, Ohio, and Sarah (Robert) Schmidtgoessling of Beavercreek, Ohio; her 9 cherished grandchildren; and 5 adored great grandchildren; and her caring sisters Martha Frost of Mt. Orab, Ohio, and Faye Fox of Owensville, Ohio. Mary was a charter member of the First Baptist Church, was a retired homecare provider. She loved teaching Sunday School. Mary also loved shopping for shoes, getting her hair and nails done, she was always seen wearing purple, and was a lifetime talker to the end. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church located at 704 South High Street, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and run until time of service. Burial will follow services at New Harmony Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be directed to the First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. Megie Funeral Home is caring for the family during this difficult time.
