Mary Kaye Young

In loving memory of Mary Kaye (Brown) Young daughter of Dr. James Brown and Lois Beatty-Brown. Growing up in a military family Mary moved a lot but was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. Mary passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in Reading, Ohio.

Mary lived a life centered on love, family, and kindness. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother and a cherished great and great-great grandmother, whose greatest joy was caring for her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be held close for generations.

She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Mary loved crocheting and teaching others the craft, camping with her daughter and family, baking her famous apple pie and cinnamon rolls, going on donut runs with special family members and sharing her memories.

Mary's greatest pleasure in life was caring for children as she loved them with all her heart. She will be deeply missed by all that loved her. Her love lives on in the hands of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Alan Young Sr, her granddaughter Kimberly, and her children; Richard Alan Young Jr, Thomas Martin Young, and Laurie Kaye Young.

Mary is lovingly survived by her children; Lisa (Dave) Gabriel, Colleen (Greg) Shaw, and Kristy (Marley) Tortorich. She also leaves behind many grandchildren; Nicholas, Nicole, Dylan, Allyson, Samuel, and Bailey. Great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit.

Mom; We see the moon and the moon sees you

We will forever love you

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
