Matthew Roberts

Matthew Roberts, age 51, of Goshen, Ohio born March 3rd, 1972, in Somerset, Kentucky was found deceased on December 21st, 2023. Life has various moments, some of happiness and some of sadness and sorrow. His sudden passing was an unexpected tragedy.

He was born to Sandra Halcomb and Jimmy Roberts. He’s also preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his two children, Maverick Roberts and Tazley Freeland, two granddaughters, Adelyn Freeland and Rhya Roberts, two brothers Brad Roberts and Dustin Stevens, niece Emma Roberts, two nephews, Wesley and Wyatt Stevens, as well as additional family and friends.

Matthew graduated from Goshen High School class of 1990 and went on to serve in the United States Army. He made a career of truck driving and took great pride in being a simple and hardworking man. His love and passions were fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors. He had a smile, laughter, and humor that everyone noticed. He was a very sentimental man and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. The journey here is short, leads us down many different paths, and creates monumental memories. Let us all remember Matthew by the good, the love he shared, and our very best moments with him.

A Memorial Service will be held on January 7th, 2024, at 3pm at Williams Corner Church of God, 6162 SR-132 Goshen, Ohio 45122.
