Maureen �MO� Long Heischman, of West Chester, OH and Princess Anne, MD, formerly of Sterling, VA, died at her Ohio home on Monday, Feb. 4th after a brief illness. She was 51 years old. Born Maureen Ann Collins on July 24, 1956 in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of Bruce W. Collins and the late Frances Monsour Collins Morlock. Mo was a graduate of Akron�s Firestone High School, and for two years attended the Ohio State University. In 1981, Mo moved to the Northern Virginia area. She was a 15 year employee/manger at the Olde Brogue Irish Pub in Great Falls, VA. During that time, she met and married Eugene Long. In 2001 they retired to Princess Anne, MD. After an 18 month illness, during which he was attended by Mo, Mr. Long died on Sept. 3, 2006. On November 14, 2007, Mo was married to her high school sweetheart, Steven C. Heischman, who was at her side upon her death. Mo enjoyed reading, cooking and socializing with friends, with whom she shared her considerable intelligence, wit and generosity. Mo is survived by her husband Steve, step children Jennifer, James and Rachel Heischman of West Chester, Jessica Long Sparks of Martinsburg, WVA, Jason Long of Reston, VA, father Bruce (Bess) Collins of Polk City, FL, brothers Gregory (Denise) Collins of Chardin, OH, Bruce (Sue) Collins of Clinton, OH, Sean Collins of Stow, OH, sisters Kathleen Goldsmith of Reston, VA, and Gail (Mark) Griffin of Ashville, NC. In addition to her mother, Mo was predeceased by her niece, Frances Goldsmith. A memorial service for Mo will be held March 1, 2008 from 2-4 PM at Fairlawn West United Methodist Church of Christ, 2095 W. Market St, Akron, OH. Interment will take place at a later date at the Pioneer Cemetery, Westerville, OH.
