Melody R. Fullarton

On Saturday, January 19, 2019, our lovely mother, Melody Ruth Fullarton, passed away at the age of 69. She lived her life with joy and spread love and light to all those who had the opportunity to know her. She was an eternal optimist and believed in the good in all people. She had a wonderful sense of humor and held kindness as her highest value. She enjoyed drumming, gardening and doting endlessly on her grandchildren: Hannah, Esther and Haiah. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends across three continents.

Born in 1949 in Inveraray, Scotland, to Margaret Ruth Pattie and Peter Fraser Pattie, she was raised in the UK and southern Africa with her parents and brother Michael Pattie. After serving in the Women's Royal Air Force, she moved across the Atlantic as a young woman and made her adult life in America, where she raised us, Rebecca White and Sarah Oatney-Weiler. In the later part of her life she spent much time traveling to Brazil and the UK to visit family, as well as many travels to California, Colorado, Washington and other states to visit family and friends. Her memory will be a blessing to all of us.

She is survived by her two daughters and their families: Rebecca and Rob White and Sarah, Wirley, Hannah, Esther and Haiah Weiler; and her brother and his family, Michael and Lynda Pattie and Emma, Martin, Chloe and Oliver Wise.

May we all honor her memory by living our lives as fully and joyfully as possible and always treating one another with loving kindness.
