Melvin "Mel" E. Larson

Melvin “Mel” E. Larson of Milford, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the age of 94. He was born in Topeka, Kansas to the late Arvid E. and Esther M. Larson in 1930.

Mel was the beloved husband of 70 years to Claire Jean (neé Griffith) Larson, loving dad of Mark E. Larson, Timothy E. (the late Pam) Larson, Kristen M. (Lee) Fagre, and Karen L. (Jack) Noe, proud grandpa of Jessica Larson, Anna (William Knudsen) Fagre, Eric (Angela Poole) Fagre, Lucas Fagre, Ethan Fagre, and Trey Noe, and his great grandchildren, Ivy, Lily, Gage, Willow, and Rosemary, dear brother of Jeanine (Hank) Hodge, and will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

In addition to his career in banking, Mel enjoyed contributing his time to many nonprofit organizations such as Clermont Senior Services. Mel and Jean shared a love of travel, as well as cheering on their favorite Cincinnati sports teams. His children and grandchildren will always remember Grandpa's wonderful sense of humor.

Mel’s family would like to thank Pinebrook Senior Retirement Community, Home Instead Senior Care, and Affinity Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Mel.

Funeral Services will be held at Megie Funeral Home & Crematory – Craver Chapel, 529 Main St., Milford, OH 45150 on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM, where family and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.

Interment will immediately follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford with full military honors provided by the Southwest Ohio VFW Memorial Team.

Pastor Anthony Payton will be officiating.

If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed in Mel’s memory to Affinity Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
