Michael J. Irving

Michael J. Irving of Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Boise, Idaho, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Hazel Mason; his first wife, Velda M. (née Lucht) Irving; his sons: Graydon Gerber and Christopher Gerber; and his siblings: Marvin Mason, Joyce Jennings and Maxine Guzi.

Michael is survived by his wife, Peggy Mason of Georgetown, Ohio; his daughter, Raine J. (Bruce) Saunders of Emmett, Idaho; his grandchildren: Tristan M. R. Saunders of Emmett, Idaho and Jordon Gerber of Everett, Washington; his sister, Jodi Irving (Jo Snider) of Gainesville, Florida; his brother-in-law, Bob Hauke of Hamersville, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Sonja Leslie of Sardinia, Ohio; his stepchildren: David Mason of Georgetown, Ohio, Mike Mason of Covington, Kentucky and Emily Roland of Charlotte, North Carolina; also survived by numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Michael graduated from St. Leo’s High School Class of 1956 and served in the US Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved mountain climbing, hiking and biking.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 6647 Van Buren Street, Arnheim, Ohio 45121, where family and friends will be received from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Father Frank Amberger officiating.
