Michael J. O'Moore, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, at the age of 80 in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Born on December 5, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael lived a life marked by dedication, passion, and love.

He devoted 33 years of his professional life to the Norfolk & Southern Railroad as a skilled engineer, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends alike.

Avidly enthusiastic about the outdoors, Michael was known for his love of coon hunting, which allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the tranquility it offered. His spirit thrived in competition as well, not only as a player but also as a coach in softball, nurturing the same love for the game in younger generations. A passionate fan of local sports, he supported the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and The Ohio State University, proudly cheering for his teams through victories and defeats alike.

Michael's love for Classic Country music was a significant part of his life. He often found joy in turning up the volume and sharing those cherished tunes with friends and family during gatherings. His ability to brighten a room with his infectious enthusiasm and warm smile will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Suellen (née Ramsey) O'Moore of Mt. Orab, Ohio; his children: Michael "Rick" (Becky) O'Moore of Eastgate, Julie Wilder of Savannah, Georgia, Kelly (Dan) Fagin of Crittenden, Kentucky, David Brammer of Montgomery, Alabama, and Brian King of Evansville, Indiana. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, whose lives he touched deeply. Additionally, he leaves behind 1 brother and 2 sisters, who will forever hold dear the memories of their time together.

Michael was preceded in death by his first wife, Saundra "Katy" (née Beckett) O'Moore, whose memory he cherished throughout his life. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

A visitation will be held on December 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Megie Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, starting at 12:00 PM. Burial Confidence Cemetery, Georgetown, Ohio. Danny Bohl officiating.

Michael J. O'Moore's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, providing them with strength and inspiration in the days to come.
