Opal C. Mullett

MULLETT, Opal Lucille, died peacefully in Whittier, California on June 28, 2013. Opal was a resident of Milford for 67 years and was a proud member of Milford First United Methodist Church. She was born in Holmes County on August 25, 1915 to Howard and Pearl Conrad . She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd in 2005. Opal and Lloyd were married in 1937 and moved to Milford in 1945 when he opened the Ohio Valley Egg Cooperative. Opal was active in Girl Scouts, PTA, Eastern Star, church circles and the church kitchen, Progress Club, Milford Historical Society, Clermont County and local AARP boards and worked many years at the local polling place. Opal loved her yard and violets which were her therapy and hobbies. She was blessed with good health and independence until she was 96 when she decided to move to California to be near her daughter and family. She will be missed and admired for her faith, courage and determination. Memorial services were conducted in California.
