Owen "Butch" Cornwell Jr

Owen "Butch" Cornwell Jr. of Mt. Orab, Ohio passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at his home, he was 80 years old. Owen was born to the late Owen C. and Leah Rose (nee Jones) Cornwell Sr. on January 15, 1943, in Bethel, Ohio.

Owen is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Shelva J (nee Fletcher) Cornwell; his loving children Cathy (Steve) Shaffer of Williamsburg, Ohio, Cindy (Rick) Price of New Richmond, Ohio, Ginger Wells of Mayfield, New York, Gloria Martish of Peebles, Ohio, Randy Cornwell of Atlanta, Georgia, and Rodney Cornwell of Mt. Orab, Ohio. He also leaves behind 11 adored grandchildren and 21 cherished great grandchildren; his sister Deborah (nee Cornwell) Hensley, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Including his beloved dog Buddy.

In addition to his parents Owen was preceded in death by his son-in-law Everett Martish, brother-in-law Floyd Hensley Sr, and daughter-in-law Sharon Cornwell.

Owen was a member of the Bethel Masonic Lodge No. 61, he served in the United States Army, and loved to hunt and fish.
