Paige Kelsey Bergman, a cherished daughter, sister, and beloved friend, was born on October 3, 1998, in Columbus, Ohio. With a heart full of passion and spirit, Paige left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, she continued to inspire those around her.
Paige’s journey, though marked by many challenges, was also a testament to her strength and the deep affection she fostered within her family and community. She passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and perseverance. She had a love of movies, TV shows, reading books, and the beautiful melodies she created by listening to and playing musical instruments.
Family was the cornerstone of Paige’s life. She was the beloved daughter of Steve and Tracy Bergman and the treasured sister of Shane (Christina) Bergman and Chase (Kerissa) Bergman. Her warmth and kindness extended to her nephew, Henry Bergman, and her devoted fur baby, Ozzy, who brought comfort and companionship in her quieter moments. Her existence was also enriched by the loving presence of her grandparents, Carl and Julie Bergman, and her home caregivers who gave their time and talents by showing love and improving Paige's quality of life. Paige’s circle of love extended beyond immediate family to include many uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless friends who stood by her throughout her life. Paige fondly remembered her late grandmother, Rita Holmes.
One of Paige’s biggest accomplishments was her role in "Paige's Posse," a heartfelt group that, for more than 20 years, gathered together to raise both funds and hope for the treatment and eventual cure of Rett Syndrome. Her courage and determination were a beacon to all who battled similar struggles.
Paige’s family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to every friend, family member, and caregiver who offered unwavering support. They also hold in their prayers the professional staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and UC Health whose dedication and compassion made a profound difference in Paige’s quality of life.
Her smiles and laughter, and her boundless joy will remain in the hearts of those who had the fortune to share in her journey. Though Paige is no longer with us in body, the spirit she embodied continues to inspire and uplift, reminding us all of the enduring power of love and hope.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the near future.
In honor of Paige’s journey, donations can be made to IRSF-International Rett Syndrome Foundation. www.rettsyndrome.org / 4500 Cooper Road, Suite 204, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
