Patricia Scott

Pat was born in Kankakee. Illinois on January 7, 1924. Pat married her high school sweetheart, Harold Scott on July 18, 1944, and then graduated from Purdue University with a degree in bacteriology in 1945. Pat and �Scotty� resided in Kokomo, Indiana for most of their 64 years of marriage, until moving to Naples, Florida in 2002. After raising their two children, Pat again attended Purdue to earn her teaching degree in high school science, and later obtained her masters in special education in 1972. She taught middle school special education at Sycamore School in Kokomo from 1969 to 1986. Pat was a member of PEO and was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Kokomo and Lely Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida. She also worked assisting others through Meals on Wheels and the �Be Friend� programs. A loving and kind wife, mother, friend and caregiver, Pat always thought of others before herself. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Harold and sister, Jean Schneider. She leaves behind her loving family; son David (Cynthia) Scott, daughter Carol (Dave) Heckaman, grandchildren Jennifer Heckaman, Sarah (Scott) Adams, Andrew (Mary Deneka) Heckaman, Ryan (Abigail) Scott and seven great grandchildren. Family will be receiving guests August 8, 2015, 10:30 am until time of Memorial service 11:30 am, all at Milford First United Methodist Church, 541 Main St. If desired, the family requests memorial donations are directed to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
