Phillip Wayne "Pete" Fiscus

Phillip Wayne “Pete” Fiscus of Sardinia, Ohio went home to the Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. He was 87 years old. Pete was born to the late Charles and Devadna (nee Penny) Fiscus on February 25, 1937, in Georgetown, Ohio.

Pete’s memory will live on through his loving children: Anthony (Lisa) Fiscus of Hillsboro, Ohio, Angela (Ed) Bunn of Winchester, Ohio, and Aric (Becky) Fiscus of Buford, Ohio; his adored grandchildren: Lillian (Matt) Ellison of Winchester, Ohio, Evan (Chelsea) Bunn of Columbus, Ohio, P.J. Fiscus of Sardinia, Ohio, and grandson-in-law Steve Likerman of Winchester, Ohio. Also left behind to mourn his passing are his cherished great-grandchildren: Zoe Fiscus-Doss, Hendrix Likerman, Charles Ellison, Sullivan Ellison, and Matilda Ellison.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jean Ann (nee Newman) Fiscus; his granddaughter, Tiffany Likerman; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Fiscus; and siblings: Anna Laura Armstrong, John William Fiscus, Dick Fiscus, Phyllis Gaines, Helen Jean Reedy, Wanda McClain, and Charlotte Schwallie.

Pete was a member of the Sardinia Church of Christ and a former member of the Sardinia Lions Club. He was a long-time youth sports coach. Pete retired from General Motors Norwood and Eastern Local School District. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Sardinia Church of Christ, located at 7130 Bachman Road, Sardinia, Ohio 45171. Visitation will be held at the church the evening of Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Pastor Marion Clifton will be officiating. Interment will follow the services at Sardinia Cemetery.
