Regina "Rae" Cordes

Regina "Rae" Cordes, a beloved kitchen manager at Clermont Northeastern Schools for 27 years, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, in Kenwood, Ohio, at the age of 65. Born on April 3, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Rae dedicated much of her life to the well-being of her family.

Rae’s career at Clermont Northeastern Schools was characterized by her unwavering commitment to providing nutritious meals and fostering a positive environment for children. Those who had the pleasure of working alongside her often spoke of her kindness, work ethic, and passion for serving the kids of the community. Her contributions extended beyond the kitchen, as she was known for her ability to create joyful experiences, not just through food, but also through her vibrant personality.

In addition to her career, Rae cherished her time spent with family and friends. Her spirit was invigorated by riding motorcycles and watching her family participate in drag racing events, activities she held dear as they brought her closer to her loved ones. Music filled her life with joy, and her home was often filled with the sounds of melodies that connected friends and family alike.

Rae is survived by her loving husband Al Cordes of Marathon Ohio, with whom she shared 43 wonderful years. She is also survived by her sons, Thomas Justin Cordes of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, and Joel (Jacque) Cordes of Owensville, Ohio, as well as her adoring grandchildren: Owen, Jordynn, Rease, Delilah, Jolynn, Paisley, and Zoey Cordes. Rae is also survived by her siblings: Richard (Alice) Logan, Sharon (Chuck) Ward, and Donnie Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol “Bud” Logan, Ester & Walter Bailey; her daughter, Angel M. Carmack; her son, Carl Joseph Cordes; and her brother, Toby Logan.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rae’s life during visitation on September 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 8:00 PM. Both events will take place at the Clermont Northeastern High School Gym, located at 5327 Hutchinson Road, Batavia, Ohio, 45103.
