SHAW, Richard �Dick� Franklin, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011, at age 87, survived by beloved wife of 65 years, Jean Louise [nee] Johnson Shaw, sons Ted [Roseanna], Roger [Patricia] and Daniel [Mona] Shaw, daughter Linda [Robert] Van Camp, brother David [Patricia] Shaw, Marilyn Shaw, widow of brother Charles Shaw, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. In World War II, Shaw spent two years with the B-17 92nd Bomb Group in England and French Morocco. He attended Miami University, was Phi Beta Kappa and received a BS degree in Business, cum laude in 1947. He then attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law, receiving a Juris Doctor degree in June, 1949 after placing 2nd out of 518 who took the Ohio Bar Exams that month. He enjoyed a great career of 35 years with Procter & Gamble in the Comptroller, Legal and Personnel Administration Divisions. Cremation has taken place. A private burial service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Milford First United Methodist Church, 541 Main Street, Milford, OH 45150. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service in the Great Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Greater Milford Area Historical Society, 906 Main Street, Milford, OH 45150.
