Richard G. Tittermary

Richard “Rich” Tittermary, 75, of Amelia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026. Born on July 28, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Doris and John Tittermary, Rich lived a life full of love, service, and dedication.

Rich graduated from Runnemede High School and went on to attend Rider College in New Jersey. It was there, on his very first day of class, that he met the love of his life, Susan. Their bond grew into a nearly 50-year marriage filled with devotion and shared joy. Together they built a family that became the center of Rich’s world.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Rich served from 1970 to 1974. He completed technical training in accounting and finance in Wichita Falls, Texas, before being stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines and later Patrick Air Force Base in Cocoa Beach, Florida. His time in the military instilled in him a deep sense of duty and pride that he carried throughout his life.

After his military service, Rich embarked on a successful career as a National Account Manager for Frito Lay. Over his 25 years with the company, he earned numerous sales awards and was known for his unwavering loyalty to PepsiCo. Even years after retiring, Rich would always request Pepsi at restaurants—proudly reminding his family that “Pepsi paid for your college.”

In retirement, Rich found a second calling as a realtor with Sibcy Cline Realtors. Specializing in assisting military families purchase their first homes, he combined his professional expertise with his passion for helping others. He also dedicated much of his time to volunteering with People Working Cooperatively (PWC), particularly their annual "Ramp It Up for Veterans" telethon—a cause close to his heart.

Rich’s vibrant personality made him unforgettable to everyone he met. Known affectionately as "Papa" by his three granddaughters—Maddie, Elise, and Blakely, he cherished every moment spent watching them dance, sing, and swim. His family fondly remembers his love for ice cream and how he delighted in keeping them informed about fluctuating gas prices. He loved his cat Lilymittens, Motown, getting noonies ( doughnuts) with his kids and grandkids and family vacations to the beach and Yellowstone.

Rich is survived by his beloved wife Susan; daughter Melissa and her family Ryan Jackson Maddie and Elise; daughter Jennifer and her husband Nicolai Barrett; son Brian and his wife Nicole along with their daughter Blakely and his sister Sherrill Tittermary. He was predeceased by his parents Doris and John Tittermary as well as his brothers John and Allan.

In honor of Rich’s legacy of service and generosity, memorial contributions may be made to People Working Cooperatively.

Rich Tittermary will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him dearly.
