Robert "Bob" D. Wells, a beloved son, uncle, great-uncle, and great-great- uncle passed away suddenly on May 15, 2026, in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on June 29, 1949, in Cincinnati, Bob lived a life rich with passion, dedication, and warmth that touched the hearts of those who knew him.
Bob’s journey was one marked by a deep curiosity and commitment to both his work and his passions. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Honeywell as a Software Engineer, where his expertise and quiet determination made a lasting impact. But beyond his professional achievements, Bob’s spirit was truly defined by his love for art and nature. An avid follower of Thomas Kincaid, Bob’s keen interest in art spurred him to travel far and wide, visiting exhibits around the world, savoring the beauty that each piece and place had to offer. His love of gardening reflected his gentle nurturing nature, a quiet joy that allowed him to connect profoundly with the earth and life’s simple beauties.
Bob was cherished by his family, who will carry forward his memory with love and reverence. His sister, Carol (Staff Sergeant Charles) Royer, stands as a steadfast presence. Among his beloved nieces are Nicole (Shannon) Blaney, Rachelle (Matt) Lamantia, and Toni Royer, each holding close the moments shared with their beloved uncle. His love extended joyfully to his great-nephew Shane (Rebecca) Blaney, and his great-nieces Brittany (Ken Fox) Blaney and Reilly Cain, as well as to the youngest generation—his great-great-nephews Liam Blaney, Gavin Blaney-Fox and Ayden Fox—all of whom felt the warmth of his kindness and the softness of his smile.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Nellie Wells, whose legacy lives on through him.
A graveside service to honor Bob’s memory will be held on May 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Graceland Memorial Gardens, located at 5989 Deerfield Rd, Milford, Ohio 45150. It will be a time to come together as a community and family to celebrate a life well lived—one devoted not only to excellence in his career but to the arts, to the earth, and most profoundly, to those he loved.
Bob D. Wells' passing leaves a poignant silence in the lives of those he touched, yet his love, his laughter, and his quiet strength will forever echo in the hearts of his family and friends. As we remember Bob, we hold onto the beautiful mosaic of his life—a man who saw the world through a lens of beauty and care, whose roots ran deep in family and whose spirit soared in art and nature. He will be missed deeply and remembered always.
