Robert Ceylon Miller, age 87, passed away quietly on April 10, 2007 with his cherished wife of 63 years, Dorothy ( nee Holladay), by his side. After meeting while attending Ohio State, Robert and Dorothy dated for 4 years before marrying on August 21, 1943. Robert served honorably in the Navy from 1943 until his discharge in 1946. He worked as a broadcaster for WLW for 30 years until his retirement in 1981, since then he has been on the air on WMKV FM, including a hymn program on Sunday mornings. He also enjoyed hiking, reading and was an avid gardener, with roses being his specialty. He and Dorothy were also very active in their church, Sharonville United Methodist Church. He was a loving father to Van (Diana) Miller, Holly (John) Ruff and Kay (Terry) Bork, and was a proud grandfather to Sarah, Laura, Catherine, David, Tyler, Cary, Keith and Philip, and great grandfather to Gwynneth, Koa and Cade. He also leaves behind his dear brothers Art Miller of St. Louis and Mike Miller of Wadsworth, OH. A Memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 15th at Sharonville United Methodist Church, 3751 Creek Rd, Sharonville. The family requests any memorial donations be sent to Media Heritage, Inc., Voice of America Museum, 8070 Tylersville Rd, West Chester.
