Robert Bruce Wilkey

Robert Bruce Wilkey, February 9, 1917 - April 8, 2007. Robert was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and moved to Cincinnati at the age of twelve. He was the son of the late Patrick and Icadora Wilkey and brother to the late Edward Wilkey. Robert joined the love of his life, the late Catherine Mildred (nee Lachenmann) Wilkey in heaven. He was survived by his six children Michael (Patricia) Wilkey, Judy (Bruce) Goins, Terry (Layne) Wilkey, Janet (Dennis) Martin, Rob (Janie) Wilkey, and Tim (Stephanie) Wilkey - 16 grandchildren Bruce (Lesli), Brian, Lauren and Mike (Kelley) Goins, Scott (Carrie) and Trent (Lynn) Martin, Chris (Donelle), Adam, Kevin, Devin, Auvrie, Zack and Shelby Wilkey, Michelle (Steve) Nache, Chris (Jenny) Smith and Nick Helms - and 14 great-grandchildren Sydney, Drew, Kyle, Brady, Taylor and Anna Goins, Sam, Rachel, Lily, Ashley and Jeremy Martin, Isabella Nache, Tyler and Emily Smith. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II in the South Pacific Islands. When he returned from the war he worked in the manufacturing industry until his retirement in 1979. Following his retirement were many happy years traveling, spending time with his family, reading and attending sporting events. Robert will always be remembered as a great story teller and will be dearly missed by all that knew him. The Mass and Memorial service will be held 9am, Monday, April 16th at Holy Family Church 2006 W. 8th St., Cincinnati, Ohio. Reception to follow in the Holy Family Club Room. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of a memorial contribution to Huntington�s Disease Society of America (HDSA) 3537 Epley Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45247.
