Rosetta "Rose" Riley

Rosetta (Long) Riley, age 86, of Mt. Orab, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. Rose graduated from Mount Orab High School in 1956 and worked at the family business, Long's Grocery, until she retired in 1988 to be a full-time Mamaw. She enjoyed a long retirement close to family in Mt. Orab.

Rose was a "Christmas Baby" born on December 25, 1938, in Mt. Orab, Ohio, the daughter of the late Julius Paul "J.P." Long and Anna Elizabeth (Derrough) Long. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Dixie Long, Lenora Elizabeth Long and Eunice (Floyd) Ott; and her brother, Julius Paul "Paul" (Mitzie) Long, Jr.

Rose is survived by her husband, Richard Riley, of Mt. Orab, Ohio; son, Kevin (Susan) Riley, of Mt. Orab, Ohio; grandson, Kyle (Maria) Riley, of Milford, Ohio; granddaughter, Katye (fiancé Mike Smith) Anderson, of Batavia, Ohio; great-grandsons, Colton Anderson and Jaxson Riley; great-granddaughters, Isabella Riley and Cecilia Anderson; four nephews: Mike (Vicky) Long of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Dave (Roberta) Long of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Nick (Sue) Long of Florida and Nolan (Janet) On of Arvada, Colorado and many beloved cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at the convenience of the family at Mount Orab Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley, 215 Hughes Blvd., Mt. Orab, OH 45154.
