Roy "Skip" E. Barnes

Roy E. Barnes, affectionately known as Skip, passed away on November 3, 2025, in Batavia, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on December 16, 1959, in Mariemont, Ohio, Skip was a vibrant spirit whose passion for music, particularly as an avid guitar player, filled his life with melodies that echoed his warm personality.

Skip's love for music was matched only by his fondness for cats, often finding solace and joy in their companionship. His kind-hearted nature and gentle disposition endeared him to family and friends alike, creating bonds that will continue to be cherished.

He is survived by his beloved family, including his nephew Harold (Joyce) Hundley, niece Kathy (Rae) Hundley, great-niece Marissa Hundley, great-nephew Justin Crockett, and brother-in-law Paul Jones. These connections forged over the years are a testament to the affection he had for his family and the warmth he brought into their lives.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Freida Barnes, and his sister Joan Jones. Their memories will forever remain a cherished part of him, a reminder of the roots that shaped his kind spirit.

As we gather to celebrate Skip's life, we invite you to join us for visitation on November 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM at Megie Funeral Home & Crematory - Craver, located at 529 Main Street, Milford, Ohio.
