GENOVA, Sarah (nee Hall), Sally, our beloved Mother died Tuesday, May 6th at her home surrounded by her children. She was 78 years young. Sally was a beautiful person- inside and out- with a generous and kind spirit and a great love for life. Mom was a joy to be with and she cherished every moment with her family and dear friends. She will be greatly missed. In her youth, she had a beautiful, mezzo soprano voice and was trained at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. In later years, she discovered art, and her paintings and birdhouses are treasured by many. She worked as a secretary in a large law office in Chicago, and in Cincinnati she appeared in several print ads for local well known companies. Recently, she was a volunteer at the InterParish Ministries and a Deacon at the Norwood Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by husband Vincent Genova and survived by her children, Diane Douglas (Michael), Leslie Farris (Pam), and Commander Tom Farris, USCG (Cathy) and brother, Harold Hall, and sister Marilyn Ellis. Her dear grandchildren are Sara, Caitlin, and Sean Douglas and Matthew, Sally, Scott, and Thomas Joseph Farris. Her many dear friends include Pat Naegel and Janet Kief from school days, and Connie McKay. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 11:00am at the Norwood Presbyterian Church, 4400 Floral Avenue, Norwood, Ohio.
