Sharon S. Preston

Sharon Sue Preston, 66, ended her earthly journey July 28, 2025, at Kettering Health Washington Township. She was born February 20, 1959, to Donald and Dolores Warlaumont of Five Mile. Sharon was a graduate of Western Brown High School, Chatfield College and Wilmington College. Of all the jobs she had before retiring, she was most proud of her years as a

substitute teacher. She also was her mother’s caregiver for many years.

Sharon was blessed with a very strong faith, which she happily shared with others, and took great comfort from her church family at First Baptist Church in Mt. Orab. She loved classic TV shows, cross-stitching, crocheting, books, her cats, drives in the countryside, and the occasional shopping excursion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Warlaumont and Ila Blanch Warlaumont of Mt. Orab, and Margaret Sprague of Williamsburg. She is survived by a sister, Deborah (Michael) Mulvey of Shorewood, Wisconsin; nephews Bernard (Allie Lake) Mulvey of Nashville, Tennessee, and Patrick (Sophia) Mulvey of Glendale, Wisconsin; her great-nieces, Valerie Mulvey and Lola Mulvey; and her devoted friend and caregiver, Joe Yuppa of Miamisburg, who was her tireless advocate.

Special thanks to Austin Trace Health and Rehabilitation in Washington Township, where Sharon spent the last eight months of her life and received extraordinary compassionate care.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. August 11 at First Baptist Church in Mt. Orab, with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be in Greenbush Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Sharon requested donations to Gideons International, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for international

missions, or the food pantry of your choice.
