Sherry D. Cahall

Sherry D. Cahall, 66, of Batavia, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2023 surrounded by her beloved children and dearest friends. Born to Flem and Avis Colson on February 16th, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she would come to share that birthday with the love of her life, Harry Cahall, whom she met in 1975 and would later marry.

That same year, Sherry became a graduate of Glen Este High School and would go on to earn her Associate's Degree in Secretarial Science from the University of Cincinnati.

Sherry was a fiercely dedicated mother, both to the children she gave birth to—Kerry and Carolyn Cahall—and those that she collected over the years—Carolyn’s fiancé David Burton, Summer (Greg) Genetti, and Amanda Brummer.

Family came first and was above all else to Sherry. This was a value she instilled in all of her kids. It was that ethos that led her to take a position at Meijer, granting her the flexibility to be the wife and mother she wanted to be. During her 27 year tenure at Meijer, her family grew exponentially through customers and co-workers that she adored, and in turn, adored her.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her cherished husband of 27 years, Harry.

Sherry is survived by not only her children, but also her lifelong friend Carol Ducheny, feline furbaby Glory, dear siblings, and many treasured nieces and nephews.

She will be desperately missed by her extensive family, network of friends, and customers.

The holes left in these hearts by her absence will be impossible to fill.

Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 6-8 PM at Megie Funeral Home and Crematory, 529 Main St., Milford, OH 45150.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 11 AM at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 4473 Mt.Carmel Tobasco Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45244.
