Shirley J. Halcomb, born on June 17, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Batavia, Ohio. She was a cherished member of the Batavia Baptist Temple, where her faith and kindness touched many lives.

Shirley is survived by her children: Lee Franz of Batavia, Ohio; Andrew (Nina) Metz of Newtonsville, Ohio; Bruce (Rita) Metz of Batavia, Ohio; and Vincent (Kimberly) Metz of New Richmond, Ohio. She was also a proud grandmother to Don Franz, April Kelch, Danielle Metz, and Ashley Mays. Shirley enjoyed the joy of being a great-grandmother to Donny Franz, Dylan Franz, Kaelynn Metz, Aubree Metz, and Kyleigh Kelch.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Halcomb, as well as her parents, Price and Virginia Riddell. Shirley will be remembered for her loving spirit and the warmth she brought to her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her grandchild, Tony Franz, and her sister, Jo Ann Dalton.

Visitation will be held on November 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Batavia Baptist Temple, located at 770 S Riverside Dr, Batavia, Ohio, 45103. The funeral service will follow the visitation on the same day, beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM.
