Shirley L. Key, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Miamisburg, Ohio, at the age of 70. Born on March 4, 1956, in Mariemont, Ohio, Shirley lived a life rich with love, faith, and devotion to her family and community.
Throughout her life, Shirley found joy in simple yet meaningful pleasures. She especially loved the sun and sand, treasures of nature that brought her peace and happiness. More than anything, she cherished the time spent with her family, the foundation of her strength and spirit.
Shirley's memory will be lovingly honored during services held at the Full Gospel Holiness Church, located at 2878 Spring Valley Pike in Miamisburg, Ohio. The visitation will take place on April 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service commencing at 1 p.m. The community is invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate Shirley’s inspiring life.
She leaves behind her beloved sons Larry Key Jr. and Donny Key; daughter Crystal (Jeremy) Austin; . Her legacy continues vibrantly through her grandchildren—Jesse Key, Jody Key, Jennifer Key, Jonathan Key, Brandon Key, Kaitlynn (Kody) St. Cyr, Megan Jenkins, Audrey Phipps, and Jacob Austin—as well as twelve great-grandchildren whose lives she touched deeply. Shirley also counted among her surviving family her brother Tommy Krebs and sister Jackie Ruffner.
Her heartache is matched by the tender memories of those who preceded her in death: her husband Larry Key Sr., daughter Lisa Brandenburg, and one great-grandchild. She is also preceded by her siblings Patty Howard, Tubby Krebs, Kenny Krebs, Sharon Hacker, Debbie Byrd, and Kathy Peters.

Shirley L. Key's enduring faith and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever hold dear the warmth of her spirit and the generosity of her heart—a legacy of love that will continue to inspire for generations to come.
