Steven "Steve" Daniel Wolford, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 9, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 24, 1957, in Cincinnati, Steve touched the lives of many with his infectious sense of humor and warm spirit.
Steve was known as a big jokester, always ready with a joke for every situation. His quick wit and constant smile made him a joy to be around, endearing him to friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He created an atmosphere of laughter and happiness wherever he went, leaving behind fond memories that his loved ones will cherish forever.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (née Huffman) Wolford, with whom he shared nearly 50 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, joy, and countless adventures. Steve also leaves behind his sons, Steven Daniel "Danny" (Tasha) Wolford, Jr. and Andy (Brandy) Wolford, who carry forward his legacy of humor and love. His grandchildren—Mya Bender, Ryley Wolford, Bella Wolford, Hudson Wolford, and Jamison Wolford—as well as two great-grandchildren, bring him immense pride and joy. Steve was not just their grandfather; he was their biggest fan and a source of unending support.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Wanetta Wolford, who surely welcomed him with open arms. Steve is further remembered by his loyal cat, Peanut, who brought additional comfort and companionship to his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Steve on February 13, 2026, at Vera Cruz Station (across from Miami Market) in Milford, Ohio. The gathering will begin at 2:00 PM and continue until 8:00 PM, allowing family and friends to come together and remember the joyful spirit of a truly remarkable man.
Steve's legacy of laughter, love, and kindness will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered for the light he brought into the world.
