Thomas Barry Eveland passed away Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 at his home in Batavia Ohio. He was 49 years old. Born January 20th, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he spent his early childhood in Terrace Park, Ohio, attending Terrace Park Elementary School. At age 12, he attended boarding school at the Kildonan School and later the Phelps School--both were in Philadelphia, PA. In 1974, he returned home and attended Live Oaks Vocational School where he graduated in 1976. He was originally employed as a carpenter and later delivered fuel oil for Terrace Park Lumber Co in Terrace Park and Miami Marathon in Milford. In his spare time, he was an avid woodcarver and liked woodworking, home improvement, and model railroading. He was a longtime resident of the Milford area but resided briefly in Warren County before moving to Batavia. He is survived by his two daughters, Rebecca and Jessica Eveland of Spring Valley, Ohio, and a brother, Colonel George Eveland Jr, USA (Ret), of Stafford, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, George D. Eveland Sr and mother Jeanne M. Eveland. Funeral services will begin 10AM Monday November 12th with visitation from 5 till 7PM Sunday evening the 11th, all at Craver-Riggs Funeral home & Crematory, Milford.
