Thomas Warren Luecke

Thomas Warren Luecke, affectionately known as Tom to all who knew him, passed away suddenly on May 26, 2026, in Milford, Ohio. Born on June 20, 1947, in Mariemont, Ohio, Tom lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a deep love for his family, community, and country.

A proud graduate of Milford High School’s class of 1965, Tom’s connection to his hometown was lifelong and steadfast. He went on to serve his nation with immense courage as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he earned the honor of being a Purple Heart recipient. His commitment to his fellow veterans continued as a long-time member of the American Legion Post 450. Tom’s valor and humility defined much of the character that those close to him cherished.

Tom dedicated many years of his career to Cincinnati Bell, rising to the position of supervisor before retiring. After retirement, he enjoyed many years working for Clermont Equipment with longtime friends as a delivery driver.

Yet, it was not only in his professional life that Tom left a lasting impression. An avid fan of all sports, his passion extended beyond mere enthusiasm. He was a vital force in the Milford Athletic Boosters and earned a place in the Milford Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of his tireless efforts and deep commitment to promoting athletics in his community. His love of sports was a reflection of his spirit—engaged, passionate, and ever-supportive.

At the heart of Tom’s life was his family and his faith. He was a devoted husband to Barbara (née Lowry) Luecke, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage filled with love and mutual respect. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Tony (Heather) Luecke, Matt (Mollie) Luecke, and Kristi (Denny) Atkinson. His legacy lives vibrantly through his grandchildren—Jacob, Scarlett, Maddie, Megan, and Amara—each carrying forward his kindness and warmth. Tom’s brother, Larry (Donna) Luecke, remains a cherished member of his close-knit family circle. The family mourns the loss of their beloved patriarch and friend, holding close the memory of his gentle guidance. Tom was also a proud son of the late Walter and Rose Luecke.

Rooted in faith, Tom was an active member of the Milford 1st United Methodist Church, where his kindness and dependable nature made a lasting impression. His presence there was a source of comfort and inspiration to those who shared in his spiritual journey.

The community will gather to honor Tom’s life with a visitation at the Megie Funeral Home & Crematory - Craver Chapel, located at 529 Main Street, Milford, Ohio, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on June 1, 2026. A funeral service will follow at the same location beginning at 1:30 p.m., with a graveside service and military honors by the Southwest Ohio VFW Memorial Team, to be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 687 US 50, Milford, Ohio, immediately following the service. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Tom are invited to come together to celebrate a life beautifully lived.
