Thurston Coffey

COFFEY, Thurston of Anderson, IN, formerly of Stearns, KY. Beloved husband of Sue (née Gibson) Coffey; loving father of Clayton Scott Coffey of Anderon, IN; cherished son of Minnie (née Jones) Coffey of Stearns, KY; caring brother of Lowell (Donna) Coffey of Stearns, KY, Alice (Curtis) Coffey of Anderson, IN, Joe Coffey of Stearns, KY, Doris (Gary) Ross of Batavia, OH and Jean (Steve) Waters of Stearns, KY; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Coffey passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry E. Coffey and a sister, Sally (Jim) Oglesby.

Mr. Coffey served in the US Army and was a member of the Lower Wolf Creek Baptist Church. He retired from Delco-Reme and loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Friends received 6-9 PM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home, 156 S. Main Street, Whitley City, Kentucky. Funeral service 1:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Bro. Carl "Cubby" Clark officiating. Burial Corder Cemetery, Stearns, KY.
