Vanessa Ann Murphy

Vanessa Ann (née Montgomery) Murphy, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and future grandma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Vanessa was a beautiful light in this world, known for her strength, kindness, faith, and the love she poured into everyone around her. She was the glue that held so many together, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Shane Murphy, and their precious children, Caleb and Rosemary Murphy, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her loving parents, Jimmie and Penny Montgomery; her sister, Amber (Robbie) Wyrick; her nephews, Colton and Mason Wyrick and her niece, Maebian Stielper, whom she adored; along with a wide circle of extended family and friends who cherished her deeply.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Chuck and Betty Nelson on her mother’s side, and Charles and Mary Montgomery on her father’s side. Vanessa is now joyfully reunited in heaven with her beloved niece, Faith Wyrick.

Vanessa faced her illness with grace, courage, an unshakable faith in God. She touched so many lives with her warmth and compassion, and her legacy of love will live on through her family and everyone she held close.

A Celebration of Vanessa’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, 10 AM – 2 PM at Miamisburg Assembly of God Youth Building, 530 N. Sixth Street, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. All who loved her are welcome to join in honoring and remembering the incredible woman she was.

Vanessa’s love was fierce, her light unshakable, and her spirit unforgettable. She will be loved forever and missed beyond measure.
