Verl L. Merrill

Verl L. Merrill Jr., age 67, passed away peacefully August 14, 2016. He was the cherished father of Tracy (Mark) Gray, Kathryn Johnson, and Mychelle Merrill, loving step-father of Jessica (Richard) Bittke and Kari (Jeremiah) Wolfe, proud grandpa of 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, dear brother of Verlene (Joseph) Lucas, Phyllis (Dennis) McDaniel, and Debbie Newell. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Mr. Merrill was preceded in death by his parents, Verl L. and Barbara J. (nee Sheridan) Merrill and his two sisters, Brenda and Sandra. Family and friends will be received Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6-8PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, Schererville, IN, where funeral services will be held on Friday August 19 at 10 AM.
