BARTHEL, Wayne R. of Mt. Orab, OH. Beloved husband of Jean Barthel of Mt. Orab, OH; loving father of Rev. Michael (Mary) Barthel of Harrison, OH, Joseph (Mary) Barthel of Mt. Orab, OH and Chris (Beth) Barthel of Mt. Orab, OH; caring grandfather of nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred A. and Delcie V. (nee Royston) Barthel, two children, Rev. Randy Barthel and Rebecca Elizabeth Barthel and a sister, Lois Barthel. Died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the age of 86. Mr. Barthel was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, a member of Mt. Orab United Methodist Church and a member of Gideons International. He was a longtime self-employed business owner. He was the former owner of Barthel Tire & Oil Co. and WB Distributing in Mt. Orab, OH. Friends will be received 6-8 PM Friday, July 10, 2009 at Mt. Orab United Methodist Church, 212 N. High, Mt. Orab, OH 45154. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the church. Interment Mt. Orab Cemetery, Green Twp., OH. Megie Funeral Home caring for the family.
