Wilberta "Bertie" Calvin

Wilberta “Bertie” Calvin of Mt. Orab, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family, she was 92 years young. Bertie was born to the late Wilbur and Ruth (nee Wood) Wilson on November 12, 1931, in Mt. Orab, Ohio.

Bertie is survived by her loving daughter, Peggy (Pat) Hensley of Mt. Orab, Ohio; adored grandchildren: Tonya (Richard) Doss, Jerry (Amanda) Nehus, Jillian (Jordan) Jackson, Sarah Calvin; her cherished great-grandchildren: Richard (Kathy) Doss II, Ryan (Emily) Doss, Sydney (Noah) Broyles, Payton Jackson, Mason Jackson, Ian Calvin, Ava Calvin, Sammuel Coburn, and Kaden Calvin; and dear great-great-grandchildren: Kendra Doss, Richard Doss III, and Eponine Broyles; along with her siblings: Melba Mounce of Norwood, Ohio, and Margie Frazee of Cleveland, Ohio; including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Bertie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Calvin; her son, Timothy R. Calvin; grandson, Scott Calvin; great-grandson, Ray Doss; great-great-grandson, Porter Doss; and siblings: Eileen Kreff, Betty Rose, and Paul Wilson.

Bertie was a member of the Mt. Orab United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 12:00 pm at the Mt. Orab Global Methodist Church located at 212 Church St, Mt Orab, OH 45154. Family and friends will be welcomed to come and visit beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Greenbush Cemetery, Mt. Orab, Ohio. Pastor Al Bolte officiating.

Memorial Donations may be directed to the Mt. Orab Global Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
